Master Abel Adama, a student from Kogi State in Nigeria, has won a scholarship worth over $228,472 over a four-year period to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The scholarship, which is worth $57,118 per year, covers tuition, meals, accommodation, books and other essentials. Adama and 90 other Nigerian students coming to study at universities in the US attended a pre-departure orientation session organized by the EducationUSA Advising Center in Abuja.

Starting this fall, Columbus State University in Columbus, GA will offer a master's degree in education specifically designed for college and university administrators. The new Master's of Education with a concentration in higher education is designed to provide individuals with an interdisciplinary approach to serve as administrators and leaders in a variety of higher education settings. The University of Bridgeport in Connecticut has launched a new international graduate scholarship program for incoming international graduate students. Students applying to the MBA Program, Global Development and Peace Program, or any program in our School of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering) are eligible for this award. Applicants will automatically be considered for a scholarship when they send in the University of Bridgeport international application and all admissions materials.

The Centre's remit does not cover contemporary fine arts, archaeology, the current practice of architecture or the performing arts.
