2011 Huayu Enrichment Scholarship for Overseas students by Taiwan Ministry of Education to undertake Mandarin language (Huayu) courses in the Republic of China.

To encourage international students (excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao SAR students) to undertake Mandarin language (Huayu) courses in the Republic of China (Taiwan), in order to provide them with opportunities to increase their understanding of Taiwanese culture and society, and to promote mutual understanding and interactions between Taiwan and the international community.

UK/EU/International postgraduate taught students must meet the schools entry requirements and be a graduate of any school or department within the University of Reading.
This postgraduate scholarship provides a number of individual awards up to the value of £1,000 towards the cost of tuition fees. It is available (dependent on eligibility) for the duration of the academic year.

The Riga Graduate School of Law announces Scholarships for an LL.M degree in Public International Law and Human Rights funded by the Open Society Institute (OSI). Eligible students currently are invited to apply for the Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) Public International Law and Human Rights Programme. The programme provides expertise in Public International Law and Human Rights and also offers courses in European Law. The programme is competitive and very prestigious. The Programme is based at the RGSL located in Riga, Latvia. It is available to individuals with bachelor's or master's degree in law or related fields (or will be awarded a degree prior to admission to the programme), obtained in at least four years long studies, if basic knowledge in law and corresponding work experience is acquired; second level professional higher education, professional bachelor's or master's degree in law or other related fields, if basic knowledge in law and corresponding work experience is acquired.

The Academic Fellowship Program (AFP) Mobility Fund is designed to support visits between AFP partner departments or former AFP Resource Departments.  Faculty members may use the mobility grant to consult with colleagues on issues of curriculum, teaching or research, such as developing a new course or revising an existing one.  Goals of the visit should be well-defined, based on concrete outcomes, and align with the departmental development strategy.Recipients of the grant are encouraged to give a guest lecture or lead a discussion in their area of expertise while visiting the host university.

The Admissions Office at Florida State College has given approval for the English Language Institute to grant conditional admission to international students. Conditional admission is a combination program that accommodates international students who need English language proficiency in order to be admitted to the College. Conditionally admitted students are required to successfully complete the English Language Institute program prior to taking college-level courses.

DePaul University has dropped a requirement that all undergraduate applicants submit either SAT or ACT scores - and the university says that it is the largest private institution to have made such a shift. The university cited the positive experiences of many colleges and universities that have dropped testing requirements, the correlation between test scores and family income and other factors. Applicants who opt not to submit test scores will be asked to complete some short response essays.
