The Oak Ridge National Laboratory invites applications for postdoctoral and post-master's term appointments in the Computer Science Research Group of the Computer Science and Mathematics Division. Opportunities are anticipated in several of the group's projects, in both research and software development roles, and more than one appointment may be considered.

Cordes Fellowships provide exceptional social entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders engaged in poverty alleviation and economic justice enterprises the opportunity to participate as Delegates in the Opportunity Collaboration. The purpose of the Fellowship program is to (a) open doors, minds and networks for emerging social entrepreneurs and nonprofit executives, (b) enrich the Opportunity Collaboration with new, emerging leaders and (c) infuse the collaborative discussions with a diversity of perspectives. In total, 50 Cordes Fellows take part in all aspects of the Opportunity Collaboration. In addition, Fellows earn a certificate of completion awarded by the University of the Pacific Global Center for Social Entrepreneurship.
Young Explorers Grants (YEG) offer opportunities to individuals ages 18 to 25 to pursue research, conservation, and exploration-related projects consistent with National Geographic's existing grant programs, including: the Committee for Research and Exploration (CRE), the Expeditions Council (EC), and the Conservation Trust (CT).
The University of South Carolina Summer Campus will run from July 10 - 23, 2011 and is open to 15-19 year-old students wanting to improve their English. The program costs $2,300 which includes English classes, all meals, on-campus housing, linens, and activities (shopping, bowling, sports, movies, and special trips). High school students will have the opportunity to improve their English through intensive classes, preview the American college experience, live in on-campus housing, and enjoy exciting field trips and other fun activities. They will also be able to live on-campus with American students and experience American culture firsthand.
The Journal of Environmental Investing Scholarship Program will award $3,500 annually to a graduate student who writes the most original and rigorous manuscript on a topic related to environmental investing. Students seeking an advanced degree in a discipline related to environmental investing (i.e. environmental science, environmental policy, sustainability, finance, economics, environmental law, and public affairs and policy) are invited to present ideas and research.
