This scholarship is offered jointly by the World Bank and the government of Japan. It is intended for mid-career professionals from World Bank member countries. Since 2007, APU has been a Cooperating University with this scholarship, providing funding to students who wish to study in one of APU's International Cooperation Policy (ICP) Programs.
Scholarships are available to students from Russia, Byelorussia, Ukraine and South Eastern Europe and Central Eurasia regions (see eligible countries below). Each scholarship recipient will receive an amount covering tuition and fees for the LL.M study programme. An additional scholarship is allocated for travel, accommodation and incidental education expenses. Students granted a scholarship must write their master's thesis in the field of public international law or human rights. Priority will be given to students who commit to work in any of the following areas upon completion of the programme: human rights, public law and public service. Furthermore, RGSL seeks to recruit students who have worked within an organization with which OSI has a relationship already, or students who are willing to work with such an organization upon completion of the programme. In the application, students are required to provide specific detail on their expectations work in a related field upon completion of the programme.
The Heinz Fellowship was established in 1982 by an endowment from the H. J. Heinz Company Foundation to the University of Pittsburgh's University Center for International Studies. The fellowship is managed by the Global Studies Center at the University Center for International Studies, and is offered annually providing one year of practical, professional, and non-degree educational experiences through the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, USA. The University of Pittsburgh is one of the leading research universities in the United States and includes 16 professional schools, 28 departments in the arts, social and natural sciences, 3,400 faculty members, 27,000 students, and library holdings of over 4.7 million volumes. Pitt is located in an urban center of cultural, ethnic, and racial diversity.

Fellowship are available in all areas of academic study related to Russia and other post Soviet countries

Scholarships are awarded for basic university programs (university degree, bachelor programs), or, in case the students have already completed studies in their home country, for Master programs
Funded by the New Zealand Government and administered by Education New Zealand, the New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships (NZIDRS), are a significant educational opportunity.
The scholarships provide financial support for international students undertaking doctoral degrees by research in New Zealand universities.

The University of San Diego School of Law awards merit scholarships to students admitted to the LL.M. in Comparative Law program based on the merits of the applicant's scholastic and professional experience. Applicants accepted to a graduate program at the School of Law are automatically considered for a Merit Scholarship award.

International students may be awarded academic scholarships to attend Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Scholarships can pay 10% - 50% of the annual cost of attendance.

University of Dayton offers international merit scholarships which range between $5,000 and $25,000 per year to first-year and transfer undergraduate applicants.

The EU (European Commission/DG Education and Culture) offers a significant number of scholarships to graduates from the European neighbourhood policy countries for post-graduate studies to its Bruges or Natolin (Warsaw) campus during the academic year 2011-2012.


These scholarships cover academic expenses, accommodation, meals and travel costs.
The countries concerned are: Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia and Ukraine.

Applications are invited for up to 30 PhD studentships in the form of fee waivers at Home/EU rate for all subject areas in the School of Social Sciences, History and Philosophy.
