The Open Society Institute's Network Scholarship Programs (NSP) is pleased to announce the Global Supplementary Grant Program (GSGP) for the 2010 - 2011 academic year.  GSGP offers supplementary grants to students from select countries of Eastern and Central Europe, the former Soviet Union, and Mongolia.  The purpose of the program is to enable qualified students to pursue doctoral studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences at accredited universities in Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle/Near East, and North America.

The Open Society Foundation and Maastricht University invite applicants for the above scholarships in the field of European Studies. Please choose one of the 3 available courses: the Master in European Studies, the Master in European Public Affairs, or the Master in Analysing Europe.

Established in 1996, CEU's Summer University program hosts high-level, research-oriented, interdisciplinary and innovative academic courses as well as workshops on policy issues for professional development in the social sciences and the humanities. Courses involve distinguished international faculty (including CEU professors), and excellent advanced doctoral students, junior or post-doctoral researchers, teachers and professionals as participants. While application from all over the world is encouraged, continued priority is given to applicants from Central and Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and countries experiencing emerging democracies worldwide. Applicants from these countries, when admitted on merit, will be eligible for scholarship, while those from developed countries will usually be expected to pay fees.

We are seeking two highly motivated graduate students to participate in research on the population genetics and conservation of fish species native to eastern California. The species of concern include tui chub (Siphateles bicolor), speckled dace (Rhinichthys osculus), sucker (Catostomus fumeiventris), and pupfish (Cyprinodon amargosae). Students
will have opportunities to interact and coordinate their research with collaborators at the U. S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the U. S. National Park Service, and California Department of Fish & Game.

INTENSIVE ENGLISH PROGRAM (ESL PROGRAM)
UW-Eau Claire offers the Intensive English Program (IEP) as an option for students looking for English as a Second Language courses, or for those students without a TOEFL/IELTS score. Students may be conditionally admitted to UW-Eau Claire's degree program, but must first attend the Intensive English Program. Once the student meets the English proficiency requirement, they may start the degree program.

The Graduate School of Excellence Materials Science in Mainz in Mainz (Germany) invites suitable candidates to apply for a position in our International PhD program.

he Penn State Law LL.M. program is a 24-credit, one academic year course of study open to individuals who hold a degree in law from an accredited institution outside of the United States.

The three fields of study-Business Law; Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation; and International and Transnational Law - tap into Penn State Law's longstanding areas of global recognition and feature world renowned scholars.

The Emerging Economy MBA scholarships are offered to students from emerging economies throughout the world. These $20,000 scholarships are awarded to first-year students to help support the financial costs of the MBA for students from regions where repayment of large loans would be difficult.
