Originally developed for the ""Aktion Österreich - Ungarn", a foundation of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research and the Hungarian Oktatási Minisztérium, - hence the name, "AHplus" now handles a wide range of grants and programs.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton today launched the Department of State's second annual ExchangesConnect Video Contest, "Change Your Climate, Change Our World," with a video message on the ExchangesConnect social network at http://connect.state.gov/.
The contest is a call to action for global citizens around the world to engage in cross-cultural community building and mutual understanding. The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State launched ExchangesConnect social network in October 2008 and it has attracted over 14,000 members.
Graduate Incentive Fellowship Program

The Graduate School is pleased to announce the Graduate Incentive Fellowship Program. This program provides an additional $2,200 per year on top of assistantship offers for highly qualified students. Incentive Fellowships are awarded to selected students at the discretion of the Graduate Dean.


Accelerated Dual Degree Program

Students at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama will soon have the opportunity to earn credit for a master\'s degree while still working toward their undergraduate diploma through an Accelerated Dual Degree program. The program will be available to top students who wish to work in fields where advanced qualifications are needed, or would like to use their academic talents to more quickly earn an advanced degree. Students must meet minimum grade point and credit hour standards to become eligible.

NSF IGERT Doctoral Fellowships in the Ecology, Management and Restoration of Integrated Human-Natural Landscapes at UIC

Two-year NSF IGERT doctoral fellowships are available at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the LEAP ("Landscape, Ecological and Anthropogenic Processes") doctoral training program. Next year will be the fifth year of the LEAP Program, a broadly interdisciplinary program with the goal of training future researchers and leaders in the ecology, management and restoration of integrated human/natural landscapes. Students earn a Ph.D. in a participating department after completing a rigorous two-year interdisciplinary training program that includes a substantial outreach component.

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for the 2010-2011 Master's Research Fellowship in Mathematics.
Master's Research Fellowships in Mathematics are awarded on a competitive basis to students with outstanding
academic records. Carefully follow all of the fellowship directions so you submit a complete set of fellowship
application materials. Only those fellowship applicants that submit a complete portfolio will be considered for a
fellowship.

3 Corporate Fellowships with traineeships at international corporations for qualified candidates

ESMT is offering several additional merit-based scholarships for applicants to the Full-time MBA program beginning January 2010 in Berlin. These scholarships have been made possible by ESMT's partner companies, who have donated to the scholarship pool. Outstanding female candidates may also apply for a limited number of full-tuition scholarships. ESMT's partners are a group of 25 global companies,such as Allianz, BMW, Daimler, Deutsche Bank, MAN, Siemens, The Boston Consulting Group, and ThyssenKrupp.

The CMPG lab (http://cmpg.iee.unibe.ch) is looking for a highly motivated student to work with Laurent Excoffier and Matthieu Foll on the joint estimation of selective and demographic processes having occurred in the recent history of populations.

The Rowland Institute is a Center within Harvard University with more than a dozen groups pursuing research in a wide variety of fields in experimental science. The main focus is the Rowland Junior Fellows program which currently has eight fellows, each fully supported and following their own research programs.

There are up to 10 scholarships available to prospective international students studying for a full-time taught Master's programme . The scholarship provides a £5,000 fee waiver and is tenable for one year only.
A PhD position (BI position) is available at the "Instituto de Telecomunicações" - University of Porto as part of the Project CMU-PT/NGN/0052/2008, "DRIVE-IN - Distributed Routing and Infotainment through Vehicular Inter-Networking".
The goal of the DRIVE-IN project is to investigate how vehicle-to-vehicle communication can improve the user experience and the overall efficiency of vehicle and road utilization, collaborating closely with the partner university Carnegie Mellon, and working with leading industry partners.
Four European universities have teamed up to offer the two-year CIMET Master's programme: the University of Saint-Etienne (France), University of Eastern Finland (former University of Joensuu), University of Granada (Spain) and University College Gjovik (Norway).  The coursework covers photonics, computer vision and imaging science, and computer science and multimedia technology. There is a mixture of both theoretical and practical work.

Cambridge university, in conjunction with the Open Society Institute, invite applications from scholars from selected countries in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, including Ukraine, who wish to work in the universities' libraries or to contact academic specialists in their subjects. At Cambridge the programme offers one-month visits in one of the Cambridge colleges during the summer months (July-September). Scholars will normally be of post-doctoral or equivalent status and will be university teachers or members of research institutes.

Izaak Walton Killam Postdoctoral Fellowships are awarded annually at Dalhousie University to recently graduated scholars of superior academic research ability in any discipline. Awards are tenable for two years and include travel costs, a research grant, and a conference travel allowance.
