The University offers the opportunity to apply for a PhD-Research Grant in Luxembourg . The grant is directly tied to the candidate. The candidate has to apply for the grant personally. In case of an accepted application, the position will be financed by the Luxembourgish AFR (Aide Formation Recherche) fellowship. 3 year fixed-term contract, renewable one year under justified circumstances Employee status The PhD-student will work under the guidance of a Professor on a research theme and will also contribute to education in a certain extent. She/he should finish the work with a doctoral degree in engineering science.
In 2012 the University will be awarding up to 10 UQ Merit Scholarships, valued at $6000 for the first year of study, for Year 12 school leavers and gap year students who are keen to pursue studies and a career in agriculture or related discipline. Students applying for entry to the B Agricultural Science or the B Agribusiness at UQ and who expect to achieve an OP8 or better are encouraged to apply.
Tshwane University of Technology is pleased to announced the TUT Master's and Doctoral Full time scholarships for unemployed postgraduate students for 2012. Candidates pursuing their studies or research work in areas such as social and human sciences, economic and management sciences, natural and applied sciences as well as engineering and technology, and all other Disciplines, may apply. Masters degree ? R45,000 per annum (includes tuition fees) for a maximum of 2 years Doctoral degree - R55,000 per annum for a maximum of 3 years (Faculty will pay for tuition fees during the first year of study and it will not be subtracted from the scholarship amount)
The Thomas and Ruth Rivers International Scholarship Award is intended to provide opportunities for senior or graduate students, who are studying recreation, leisure studies, leisure services, leisure resources or tourism studies in college or university programs, to attend and present a scholarly paper at the biennial international World Leisure Congress. The focus of the paper should be on any aspect of recreation, leisure and/or tourism from a worldwide perspective. It is envisioned that students will gain a broader perspective of world leisure, recreation and tourism trends, issues, philosophies and problems. Upon return to their respective institutions, the scholarship recipients are expected to share their experiences with fellow students, colleagues and professors.
A position as research associate/postdoc is offered in the Institute for Materials Research (IMO) jointly by the Polymer Reaction Design group (Organic and Bio-Polymer Chemistry) and the Biosensors group (Material Physics, Dr. Anitha Ethirajan). The project aims at fabrication of novel nanomaterials via heterophase techniques in combination with state-of-the-art polymer synthesis. To reach this aim, polymer reactions will be designed with special emphasis on their later use to form custom-made nanoparticles. Additionally, the position entails organizational duties in the research groups, supervision of bachelor and master thesis projects as well as co-guidance of PhD students.
The Information Systems Scholarship Programme is available to students interested in Computing science, applied information technology or related computing fields. The scholarship is valued at $5,000 in total and will be awarded to students over the period of the original course that the scholarship was offered, for example if it is a three year course they will receive $2,000 in their first year and then $1,500 in the subsequent years.
Musicianship Scholarships are available to new instrument and vocals students (both US and non-US citizens) enrolling in the Bachelor of Music, Associate of Arts, or Certificate in Performance Programs who demonstrate outstanding musicianship. A total of ten Musicianship Scholarships (two per instrument) are awarded for each new program start. The scholarship is applicable for students enrolled in performance (instrument and vocals) programs only, and may not be transferred to "non-performance program" emphases ( Audio Engineering, Music Business, Independent Artist, Guitar Craft, or Film) within an AA or Bachelor degree
CBS International Innovation Scholarships are available to students enrolling in their first year of an eligible CBS undergraduate degree at Curtin University in 2012 and who can demonstrate an understanding of their course of study and show insight and creative ideas relating to their future profession. Application forms are required to be completed and the scholarship will be awarded on the basis of demonstrating innovation relating to the applicants' future profession and by choosing to study an eligible undergraduate CBS degree at Curtin University in 2012.
This scholarship is designed to provide tuition assistance for outstanding international students of guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, or vocals while attending Musicians Institute There will be four winners selected. The first, second, and third place winners will each receive up to $12,000 USD in tuition credit ($2000 per quarter credited against tuition due for up to six quarters). The fourth place winner will receive up to $6000 USD in tuition credit ($1000 per quarter credited against tuition due for up to six quarters). The scholarship is in the form of tuition credit only; no cash sums will be provided, and any tuition credit balance that is unused for any reason may not be redeemed for cash or transferred to any other person.
The Chancellor's International Scholarships are now open for applications for entry in 2012-13. For entry in October 2012, Warwick will offer to approximately 17 of the most outstanding international PhD applicants - -The full payment of overseas tuition fees (worth up to £14,600 at 10/11 rates) -A maintenance stipend in line with RCUK rates (worth £13,590 at 10/11 rates)

Six (6) scholarships to the value of $9,000 will be offered for the 2012 academic year.
